# Locking Periods

When you are happy that a period is fully completed, you can lock the period. Please note that once a period is locked it cannot be unlocked. Only lock a period when you are happy that you are completely finished with that period's adjustments and ready to move onto the next month. Locking periods is to prevent any future changes affecting previously reported periods.
